Monsuno theme1/4/2024 ![]() Keep the monster designs interesting and unique as well, as the biggest reason I loved the show were the monster designs and fight scenes.Ĥ. I would want to see the art style remain the same (or at least be an anime-styled one) but make it a bit more polished and work on the camerawork a bit. ![]() If this reboot were to happen, I would like to see a polishing in the animation. While there were some spotty bits here and there in scenes such as crowds and whatnot, I personally didn't notice any animation errors myself. Monsuno's animation and art was actually pretty good for the most part. I would 100% be open to brand new characters or newer takes on older ones as long they're written well, but keep the main 5 heroes intact. I want the villains to have genuine development and motives, as one of the biggest problems with Monsuno were the very bland and one-dimensional villains (with the only real exception being Droog and One-eyed Jack to an extent), and characters such as Six and the Strike Squad had a LOT of failed potential for development. ![]() Give them personal conflicts to work out, give them a better backstory, and give them their familiar characteristics while also going outside their archetypes. For the reboot, I at least want the 5 main heroes to be pretty much the same both design-wise personality-wise, but as stated earlier, give them more depth and development. One of the reasons I loved Monsuno so much was because I loved the main characters in their personalities and interactions. ![]() Give STORM and Eklipse more of a glimpse at their power and influence on the world, and for the love of God, EXPAND ON THE 5 TRIBES OF DESTINY! THOSE WERE A CORE PART OF THE SHOW'S MYTHOLOGY AND YOU JUST GLOSSED OVER IT! The one thing I really want for this is more backstory on everything, more backstory on the characters, and more backstory on the lore. I would rather prefer a modified retelling of the original story than a completely new one, but I am open to either as long as they're both well-written. Don't make it too complicated, but make it understandable and have it carry weight. I suggest that Studio JP hire more experienced and competent writers if this reboot were to happen, as I feel like a greater story and characters is what would really make it better overall. Jared Wolfson stated in a 2012 panel that he and Jeremy Padawer (another one of Monsuno's creators) wanted to have a focus on storytelling with the series, but I feel like the higher ups at Jakks wanted to prioritize sales over story, or maybe some other factors went in the lack of depth in the story. While Monsuno didn't have the worst plot or characters ever, there was a LOT that could've been done so much better. ![]() A better emphasis on story and character development. This left me thinking of what I wanted this theoretical reboot to have, and so I made a list of what I would want and what I wouldn't want.ĭISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALL 100% THEORETICAL AND DOES NOT MEAN ANY OF THIS IS DEFINITELY HAPPENING. This means that a potential Monsuno reboot is within the realm of possibilities. In short, one of Monsuno's creators is spearheading a new Studio by Jakks Pacific (who owns the trademarks for Monsuno) to make animation based on Jakks properties. This is a follow-up to my status post I wrote earlier upon realizing some news ![]()
